The highest peak (1,829 m) of the Yeranos Mountain Range. The landscape features semi-desert and dry mountain steppe terrain, with parts of the range included in the Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

The hiking route to Mount Yeranos is about 25 km, starting from Garni village, following the Azat River gorge, passing Lanjazat village and near the Azat Reservoir dam. Along the way, hikers enjoy panoramic views of Mount Ararat, the Yerakh and Voghjaberd ranges.
